It’s a young Montezuma wrestling team this year, but it has some experience and the weights they’re working in are spread throughout the lineup.
“We are looking to put together a full lineup of eight varsity wrestlers for our dual meets and tournaments,” said Coach Josh Kriegel.
“I like seeing a rise in numbers with our team,” the coach said. “Every wrestler on our team works hard and we are excited to see the growth they make throughout the year.”
The Braves include four freshmen, three sophomores and one junior.
There are four returning wrestlers, and three are varsity letter winners.
Owen Desrochers, Braxton Plants and Brett Plants are the varsity letter winners, while Isaac Wedgewood is a returnee.
The Braves open at home on Thursday, Nov. 30.
