Shooters earn awards in Newton

NEWTON – Montezuma shooting sports student-athletes had another strong day on Saturday, May 1.

The club competed in the PCM Open in Newton. Here are highlights:

Team

2^nd place, intermediate advanced squad – Carter Michalek, Peyton Tindle, Breck Simpson, Lindsey Henry and Sara Bos.

2^nd place varsity squad – Gavin Tindle, Maguire De Jong, Joey Kercheval, Sawyer Tindle, Michael De Jong.

Individual

1^st place, rookie ladies – Olivia Latcham.

1^st place, rookie men – Ethan Desrochers.

2^nd place, intermediate advanced ladies – Lindsey henry

2^nd place, intermediate advanced men – Carter Michalek.
