Shanae Wetering and Matthew Ranfeld will reign over the remainder of Montezuma’s homecoming after being named queen and king Thursday evening, Sept. 23, at Braves Night.
Special speakers for the evening were Marcy James and Molly Swenson.
Another homecoming note . .
The Montezuma Cheerleaders will distribute orange ribbons to honor Xavior Harrelson as fans enter Friday night’s homecoming game in Montezuma. The squad hopes fans will tie the ribbons on or wave them during the game and help keep missing Xavior in the thoughts and prayers of our community, county and state.
Brochures will also be available for the Mollie Tibbetts Memorial Run to be held on Sunday, Sept. 29 in Brooklyn. A portion of the run proceeds will be given to the Find Xavior Harrelson Fund as the Tibbetts family requested.
Please look for the tables inside both entrances to the football game on Friday night and take a ribbon to keep Xavior in our hearts, and hopefully help bring him home.
Thank you,
The Montezuma Football Cheer Squad
