1970 champs to be honored at state

The Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union has invited the 1970 state champion Montezuma basketball team to be honored during the 2020 Girls’ State Basketball Tournament.

The state tournament will be played at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

Each member of the team will be recognized on Saturday, March 7, 2020.

The Bravettes’ recognition will most likely be held during halftime of the 5:00 p.m. game.
