Two in a row for the girls – and this time, it wasn’t close!

The Bravettes won their second big track meet in four days on Monday, May 9. And, it was on their own track at the Darrell Brand Relays.

The Bravettes won four events and scored in all of them to have a 150 to 112 margin on second place North Mahaska.

It was a warm and windy afternoon, and Coach Megan Carlson welcomed that.

Two big meet wins in a row! The Bravettes celebrate after winning the Darrell Brand Relays.

We hope that competing in these conditions will help us prepare for the state qualifying meet on Thursday, with strong finishes across the board,” she said.

The girls competed hard despite the extremely hot and windy conditions,” Carlson said.

The Bravettes won the 4×100 and 4×200 relays.

Katie Reynolds won the 100-meter dash, and Ellen Cook took the 3,000-meter run.
