By Megan Carlson Junior high volleyball coachKeota brought a very small squad that was loaded with strong servers. The 8th-grade squad struggled to get anything going against a solid Keota squad. The girls had moments when they did amazing things, but they allowed Keota to go on too many service runs. Overall, in two years, this group has grown so much, and I have loved coaching them. They are kind, amazing girls that make coaching volleyball an enjoyable experience. I hope they continue to push each other to improve in all of their activities and keep a fire of competition. I am excited to see what they do to finish out their 8th-grade year. The 7th-grade squad was able to win a tight set against another strong-serving Keota team. This group has been so much fun to coach and to see them improve throughout the season. They have learned so much and work to get better every single day. The girls ask good questions and want to do well. I hope all the girls continue to put in time to improve in all of the activities at Montezuma, as that will only help our school. |
