The Montezuma Bravettes 7th grade girls basketball team scored a 51-12 road victory over Lynnville-Sully on Monday, Dec. 16.
Montezuma jumped out to a 32-0 lead. The halftime score was 37-6.
The Bravettes shot 24-57 from the field for 42%. The Hawks were 3-14 for 21% including two 3-pointers. Monte edged the rebound battle 25-24. Monte had 3 turnovers. Sully had 34.
Ellen Cook led the scoring with 10-13 shooting for 21 points. She also had 3 assists and 5 steals. Elizabeth DeJong had 8 points and 7 steals.
Kylee Larmore had 8 points. Shiressa Wetering had 6 points. Madison Cheney had 6 points, 8 rebounds and 1 block. Taylor Wilcox had 2 points. Addy Probasco had 4 steals.
The 7th graders are 3-0. They play North Mahaska on Jan 13.
