It was a solid night for Bravettes junior high volleyball with both squads coming away with solid wins on Thursday, Sept. 26.
The 7th grade team started strong and only dropped the last game to BGM. This group has improved so much and it has been fun watching them work together.
We still need to work on setting the pace and not giving away too many points. It is great to see the girls starting to understand the game more and ask really good questions.
The 8th grade team was solid again, but also needs to focus on being in control throughout the game. Several missed serves and communication issues made the games look closer than what they really were.
Next week is loaded with three games, so it is important that intensity and focus are maintained throughout the week.
7th grade: Montezuma 2, BGM 1.
8th grade: Montezuma 3, BGM 0.
