7th girls topple BGM 26-12

The Montezuma Bravettes 7th grade team traveled to Brooklyn to play the BGM Bears on Monday, December 9.

The Bravettes controlled the game early as they jumped to an 8-4 lead at the end of the first quarter and 14-6 at the half.

Monte was able to win the each of the last two quarters as the final score was 26-12.

Monte shot 13-45 (29%) from the field, 0-1 from 3-point range and 0-2 from the free throw line. BGM shot 6-26 (23%) from the field. BGM out-rebounded Monte 31-22. The Bears had 37 turnovers while the Bravettes had 20.

Lilly Bushong had a double-double with 16 points and 11 steals. Lexi Urfer had a solid game with 6 points and 4 steals. Aubree DeJoode had 2 points, 3 steals and 2 blocks. Ava DeWeese had 2 points. Lucy Semprini had 6 rebounds. Alyssa Latcham had 3 steals and 4 assists. 

The Montezuma Bravettes 7th graders move to 2-2 on the season. They host Lynnville-Sully on Monday, December 16.
