The final was 42-7 for the Montezuma Bravettes 8th grade girls when they invaded Lynnville-Sully on Monday, Jan. 18.
The Bravettes dominated, leading 13-0 at the end of the first quarter. At halftime, it was 24-4.
The Bravettes shot 19-56 for 37% from the field and 3-4 from the line. The Hawks shot 3-24 for 13%. Monte out-rebounded the Hawks 31-26. The Bravettes forced 30 turnovers while only having 4 of their own.
Ellen Cook lead the way with 15 points, 4 assists, 8 steals and a block.
Taylor Wilcox scored six on 3 of 3 shooting. Ava Pargeon had 5 points including a 3-pointer. She also had 4 assists and 5 steals.
Shiressa Wetering had 4 points, 12 rebounds & a block. Taya Sincox had 4 points.
Kylee Larmore, Harlea Pargeon, Addy Probasco, Elizabeth DeJong each had 2 points. Addy also had 2 blocks. Nine Bravettes scored.
The 8th grade Bravettes move to 3-2 on the season.
