THORNBURG – The Montezuma eighth grade volleyball team closed its season with a 2-1 win over Tri-County on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Scores were 25-15, 25-3 and 12-25.
The teams played a non-counting fourth set, which Tri-County won, 25-9.
“The girls struggled a little in the first set against a few tough servers,” said Montezuma Coach Megan Carlson. “After they started passing and working together, they rolled and continued that momentum into the second set.”
“The third and fourth sets were tighter and the girls again struggled with their strong servers,” Carlson said.
“I am so proud of how much this group has gown during the season and I am blessed to have such amazing girls to work with.”
