The Bravettes jumped to a 20-2 lead early and never looked back. The score was 29-4 at halftime. The final was 56-8.
Monte shot the ball well. The Bravettes were 25-56 (45%) from the field, 3-12 (25%) from long distance and 3-6 (50%) from the line. The Tigers were 2-16 (13%) from the field and 4-10 (40%) from the line. Monte dominated the boards out-rebounding the Tigers 35-15. Monte had 12 turnovers. Iowa Valley had 32 turnovers.
Vivian Cook had another strong game. She had 19 points including a 3-pointer. Viv also had 4 assists and 5 steals.
Sydnee Burgess had a quadruple-double. This is a very unique stat line. I believe this is the first time that a JH girl has done this for Montezuma.
Syd had 14 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals and 4 blocks.
Leah Urfer had 11 points and 5 rebounds. Letisia Wilson had 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Rylee Wolford hit a triple for 3 points. Alexa rose also hit a trey for 3 points.
