SIGOURNEY – It’s a four-peat for the Montezuma girls cross country team!

The Bravettes won their fourth South Iowa Cedar League title in a row at the conference meet on Tuesday night!

What’s more, the boys placed third, which tied their best finish in the SICL meet in more than 20 years!

Many individual runners outscored their projected placings.

Claire Erselius placed fifth in the varsity girls race, with Madison Johannes in at seventh.

Carter McKee placed 10th in the varsity boys event.

Lauryn Larmore was fifth in the middle school girls race.

Claire Erselius earned first-team all-SICL honors, and Madison Johannes was on the second team.

All-SICL honorable mention runners were Mia Boulton and Gavin Strong.
