The homestanding varsity Bravettes won one set and were competitive in the others, but fell 3-1 to Belle Plaine on Monday, Oct. 2, in the final match before the SICL tournament.
Scores in Belle Plaine’s win were 23-25, 25-22, 25-18, amd 25-16.
Izzy Roorda and Laila Kercheval led the Bravettes in digs with 27 and 22, respectively.
Roorda had 8 kills and Kercheval and Sydnee Burgess had 7 each.
Chloe Snook came up with 16 assists and Ava Pargeon had 11.
Kercheval led Bravette servers with 16-16 with two aces.
The loss dropped the Bravettes to 6-15 overall, which included 2-6 in conference matches.
Belle Plaine went to 15-9 overall.
Belle Plaine also won the JV and freshman matches, 2-0.
For the JVs scores were 15-21 and 19-21.
For the freshmen it was 11-21 and 14-21.
The night’s play re-opened the north gym, which had been under repair after storm damage.
