Big times ahead for MHS’ lady wrestlers

The first girls wrestling season has been a successful one for three Montezuma High School girls who have been wrestling for BGM’s team under an agreement between the two schools.

All three have won more than 20 matches this season. Here are there records at the start of the week of Jan. 23:

Taya Sincox, 130 pounds, 29-15.

Taytin Chamberlin, 135 pounds, 24-10.

Coral Lowry, 135 pounds, 23-13.

This week, the girls have the SICL meet on Monday, and the state meet qualifer on Friday, Jan. 27, in Des Moines.

The state meet will be Feb. 2-3 in Coralville.

Mon., Jan. 23 – SICL at North Mahaska

Fri., Jan. 27 – State qualifier at Iowa Events Center, Des Moines, 11 a.m.

Tues., Jan. 31 – Regional duals, TBA

Feb. 2-3 – State Meet at Coralville.
