OSKALOOSA – Montezuma’s golfers placed 7th in the 11-team Boys SICL Golf Tournament on Friday, May 5.
HLV/Tri-County won with a team score of 335, just one better than second-place Sigourney. The Braves totaled 426.
Meet medalist was Peyton Roth of HLV/TC, with a 75.
Montezuma’s scores were Ethan Desrochers 100, Isaiah Wilson 107, Beau Young 107 and Carson Van Der Hart 112. Larry Daniels shot 122, but only a team’s top four scores count toward the squad’s total.
“The course played tough, but we were proud of the boys and their perserverence and positive attitudes,” said co-coach Hannah Wilson.
