Boys win triangular golf meet

COLFAX – On a chilly, damp late afternoon, Montezuma’s boys golf team beat Colfax-Mingo and HLV on Thursday, April 8.

Montezuma shot a 187, against HLV at 210, and Colfax-Mingo at 211.

The course is populated with a good number of trees, along with tightly-mown greens that boast a number of challenging slopes,” said Montezuma Coach Liesl Roorda.

Maguire DeJong was runner-up medalist, shooting a 44, after Colfax’s Jason Rinehart, who fired a 39 on his home course.

The girls team placed second after HLV. Aislyn Hutchcraft earned runner-up medalist for the Bravettes with her score of 59.
