NEW SHARON – Montezuma won two relay events and put up 55 points to place seventh out of 11 teams in the junior high SICL meet on Tuesday, May 11.
The Braves won the 4×400 in 4:06.72. Runners were Broox Stockman, Brady Boulton, David Rose and Carter Michalek.
The other relay win came in the 800 sprint medley, where Boulton, Michalek, Rose and Broox Stockman turned in a 1:52.53 time.
Montezuma also got a second-place run in the 4×200 from Boulton, Rose, Broox Stockman and Michalek. The time was 1:48.52.
Boulton’s third place in the long jump (15-6½), was Montezuma’s highest finish in an individual event. Boulton was the Braves’ leading team scorer in the meet with 13 points.
Maddux Anderson took fifth in the discus with a spin and throw of 86 feet, 10½ inches.
Brett Plants placed in both hurdles events. He was sixth in the 100-meter event in 17.35, and seventh in the 200-mter hurdles in 30.58.
