Braves are out-shot by Iowa City Regina

KALONA – It seemed Iowa City Regina couldn’t miss.

The varsity Braves engaged the Regals in a jamboree half on Monday, Nov. 21. The Regals outscored the Braves 31-23 during those two eight-minute periods.

Here’s the story: Regina made 13 of 18 shots from the field (.722), including five-for-five from behind the three-point line.

The Braves shot .308, on 8 for 26.

Regina made 9 turnovers to Montezuma’s 3, and the Braves had a 10-8 edge on the boards.

Masin Shearer scored 8 points for Montezuma and Gavin Strong had 7.

UP NEXT – The Braves are headed for East Marshall for a scrimmage at 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 25.
