MONTEZUMA – The Montezuma Braves pounded on BGM for three quarters on their way to a 72-44 win over the Bears on Tuesday evening, Dec. 10, at home.
Four Braves scored in double figures as Montezuma sped to quarter leads of 16-5, 40-17 and 61-30 through three quarters.
Brady Boulton topped Montezuma scorers with 19 points.
Max Anderson dialed up 18, in addition to grabbing 8 rebounds and dishing 5 assists.
Dane Strong scored 10 points and had 8 rebounds.
Kohen Holland was the fifth player in double figures with 12 points.
The Braves shot. .438 from the field and quick defense helped to limit the Bears to .271 shooting.
Montezuma had 13 turnovers but helped induce 24 by BGM.
The Braves came up with 16 steals and had 14 deflections in a display of quick defense.
The win lifted Montezuma to 2-1 on the season.
BGM fell to 0-4.
