Braves edge Sigourney by one stroke!

SIGOURNEY – Close, and this time the cigar came with it!

The golfing Braves nipped hosting Sigourney 158-159 in boys varsity golf on Thursday, April 13, on their course.

The boys fought some strong winds, small greens, and a strong-shooting Sigourney boys team to come out on top,” said Montezuma Coach Liesl Roorda.

Brady Boulton joined the varsity team for the first time this season and contributed to the top four scores leading to the win,” Roorda said.

The four contributing scores included Cruz De Jong 36, Maguire De Jong 39, Max Anderson 41, and Boulton’s 42.

On the girls’ side, Abby Pope was runner-up medalist with a 53, and congratulations to her for a strong performance,” Roorda said.
