Braves executed well against Moravia
By John Beck

Moravia was a good execution game from us in all facets. We had a bug going around the school last week and a few guys were gone so we really had to fight through some adversity with that.
It really was a next-man-up mentality as we prepped for and played the game and the guys handled it well.
On defense, we were able to get a lot of penetration and fly to the ball. They really only had one sustained drive and we helped them out with a penalty on that one. We do need to clean up a few things but I was very pleased with our tackling and coverage.
On offense, we again were able to move the line of scrimmage to get ourselves in a good position. We were a little shorthanded on the offensive line and those guys really stepped up!
Our running game was able to split through the defense quickly as they only had 2 levels to go through. Brady Boulton and the receivers also found good connections early and often in this game. Our guys were able to go get a few balls to help Brady out wich was good to see.
Special teams wise, I was very pleased with our kickers. Andy Erselius was consistent with his kickoffs and even had a touchback. Alex Burcerril stepped in and was able to kick PATs for us. It was his first time doing that and he did a really good job. I am excited to see him improve as the season moves along.
It was a good night where we were able to get plenty of guys in. Starting 1-0 in district play is always good!
