Braves fall to 0-2 but are at home Friday

BROOKLYN – Montezuma pitching limited BGM to seven hits, but stolen bases and errors hurt the young Braves in a 13-2 loss to BGM on Tuesday evening, May 24.

The game had been scheduled for Wednesday, but was moved up in anticipation of bad weather.

Owen Cook had two hits and scored a run for Montezuma.

Brett Plants chased home a run with a hit.

Cruz De Jong hit a double.

The Braves had five hits in all.

Cruz De Jong and Colton Benson pitched for the Braves.

Benson worked three innings and struck out three batters.

De Jong pitched two-thirds of an inning, and struck out one.

The Braves are 0-2 on the young season, overall and in SICL play.
