Braves fly off the line and win 18th game

EDDYVILLE – Roaring off the starting line is a good idea if you’re in Eddyville and the Montezuma Braves did just that Saturday evening, Feb. 8.

The Braves shot out to leads of 27-13 after one quarter, and 45-24 at halftime of an 86-55 win over the Rockets.

Montezuma didn’t show as much press or as many traps in the second half, but still kept the offensive pressure on in a 41-31 final two quarters.
