Braves fly off to win number 17!

MONTEZUMA – After some excitement in the JV game down the hall, the varsity Braves went to work and produced another win, 71-33, over HLV on Tuesday night, Feb. 4.

It lifted the Braves to 17-2 on the season, and that’s pretty exciting, too!

Brady Boulton scored 24 points, Kohen Holland had 16 and Max Anderson dropped in 15 for the Braves, who shot .529 from the field for the night.

Holland had 6 rebounds, and David Rose and Dane Strong had 5 each.

Boulton assisted 5 baskets, Rose had 3 assists and Luke Brennan had 2.

That JV game – HLV and the JV Braves played to a 40-40 tie through regulation, and because the teams needed to switch gyms for the second game, it was decreed that the first points in overtime would decide the winner.

Final score: Braves 42, HLV 40.

UP NEXT – The Braves play at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on Saturday night, Feb. 8.
