GLADBROOK – It couldn’t have been a much better start to the football season for the Montezuma Braves.
Montezuma came from behind a couple of times and scored a 39-38 win over Kingsley-Pierson on a sun-splashed Saturday afternoon, Aug. 29.
The Braves, who jumped out to a 13-0 first quarter lead, made a defensive stand in the game’s final 4:51 to preserve the win.
In between, they weathered a storm from the Panthers, who led – but not by a lot – much of the way during the middle portion of the contest.
More details later tonight and Sunday.
