Montezuma used balanced scoring and an edge in rebounding in a 42-32 win over BGM on Friday evening, Jan. 27. It was the final home game of the season for the Braves.
David Rose scored 9 points to lead Montezuma, but was followed by Broox Stockman and Briar Simpson with 7 each, Luke Brennan with 6, Kohen Holland with 5 and Alex Black with 4.
Simpson added 11 rebounds, and Jack Erselius had 5.
Rose came up with 6 steals.
The Braves led 36-19 in rebounds, and had 11 turnovers to BGM’s 20 on Montezuma’s charts.
The Braves led 13-7 after one quarter, 22-13 at halftime and 32-24 through three quarters.
There was no JV girls game.
