GARWIN – The Bravettes volleyball team showed improved play in going 4-1 and placeing second in the GMG tournament on Saturday, Sept. 14.
“We had great energy all day. I couldn’t be more proud of our effort,” said Coach Tim Burgess.
The Bravettes beat Collins-Maxwell, Meskwaki, South Tama and Lynnville-Sully.
“We lost to a very good Dunkerton team,” Burgess said.
“The exciting thing is we have more room to grow,” said the coach.
“We have a great week of competition comnig up,” he said.
“I look forward to seeing us take advantage of our opporunities to improve,” said Burgess.
The weekend’s play saw Montezuma improve to an overall record of 7-8.
Dunkerton stood at 7-2.
