CEDAR RAPIDS – The Bravettes put up a good win against a solid team Saturday, Nov. 30, beating East Buchanan, 53-38, in Montezuma’s second appearance at Rival Saturday at Coe College.
Montezuma led 23-13 at halftime. The top-rated (Class 1A) Bravettes took their record to 2-0 at the expense of ninth-ranked East Buchanan (1-1), which played in class 2A last year.
The Buccaneers returned most of their scoring power from last year’s 15-7 team.
