Montezuma’s softball team lifted its record at 7-7 for the season with a 12-2 run past Colfax-Mingo at home on Monday, June 17, on Little League Night.
The Bravettes outhit their visitors 11-2.
Ellen Cook went 3-for-3, with a pair of doubles and 3 runs batted in.
Madison Van Zee had two hits and stole a base.
Mya Smothers had two hits, including an RBI double.
Four players had one hit each.
Lauryn Larmore hit a two-run double.
Kam Schmit doubled home two more runs.
Vivian Cook’s single chased home another run.
Chloe Snook also hit a single.
Syd Burgess pitched the five-inning distance. He allowed 2 hits and 2 runs, one earned. She walked two and didn’t strike out a batter.
