The Bravettes had momentum entering the game, but Colfax-Mingo reversed it by scoring a 9-0 win over the Bravettes on Wednesday evening, June 24.
The game was played in Montezuma.
The Bravettes managed just two hits, singles by Kalynn Wanders and Chloe Latcham. They were unable to get beyond first base and they were Montezuma’s only baserunners.
Kallie Robison toiled in the pitcher’s circle for the Bravettes. She threw all seven innings, allowed 12 hits, didn’t walk a batter and struck out four. Six of the nine runs against her were earned.
The defeat put Montezuma at 4-2 on the season.
There was good news for Montezuma when the JV girls put a 19-1 defeat on Colfax-Mingo.
