It’s kind of like a walk-off hit in baseball.

The Bravettes got to celebrate match point in a 2-1 victory over Williamsburg in Montezuma’s round robin volleyball tournament on Tuesday evening, Aug. 29.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck had scored a 2-0 win over the Bravettes earlier in the evening. Scores were 21-13 and 21-7.

HLV did the same, on scores of 21-9 and 19-17.

Then came the Williamsburg match. The Raiders won the first set, but the Bravettes won the next two.

Coach Rylie McAlexander said that win over Williamsburg was uplifting, going into Thursday’s SICL opener against BGM.

ā€œIt gave us some energy,ā€ the coach said.

The Bravettes will bring a 3-5 overall record into the match.

Come back later, when we hope to have more scores and stats.
