
MONTEZUMA – The Montezuma Bravettes erupted for 32 points in the third quarter, widening a lead on their way to a 74-29 win over Iowa Valley on Friday evening, Jan. 17.
The Braves led 21-9 after one quarter, but had added only three points to it (34-19) by halftime.
Then came a 32-7 third period and a 66-26 advantage.
Four Bravettes made it to double figures in scoring.

Ellen Cook led with 23.
Claire Erselius scored 17 points, Shiressa Wetering had 15 and Vivian Cook scored 13.
Syd Burgess led in rebounds with 11.
Vivian Cook had 8 of Montezuma’s 15 assists.
The Bravettes made just 5 turnovers.
Montezuma splashed down 10 three-pointers, but allowed just 3-for-14 shooting from behind the arc by the Tigers.
The win took the 7th-ranked (Class 1A) Bravettes to 9-4 on the season.
Iowa Valley fell to 4-11.
UP NEXT – The Bravettes and Braves are home to Lynnville-Sully on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
