VICTOR – The Bravettes softball team ground out a methodical 9-0 win over HLV on Friday, May 26, to take their record to 2-1 on the season.
Montezuma took a 6-0 lead after two innings, then added three runs in the seventh.
Kallie Robison pitched a four-hit shutout win for the Bravettes. She went all seven innings, walked one and struck out six.
The Bravettes outhit HLV 11-4, with Chloe Snook, Madison Van Zee, Robison and Laila Kercheval all having two hits each.
Kercheval and Kamryn Schmidt had two runs batted in each, and Schmidt and Ellen Cook each stole a base.
The Bravettes were guilty of just two errors.
