Montezuma was dominant on offense and defense in a 7-0 home softball win over BGM on Monday, June 20.
It was the sixth win of the season for the Bravettes.
Izzy Roorda went 3×4 at the plate, with a single, a double, a triple, a run batted in, a stolen base and three runs scored.
Kallie Robison was 2×4, with a double and four RBIs.
Montezuma outhit BGM 11-6. The Bravettes scored two runs in the first, fifth and sixth innings and one in the fourth.
Robison was in command in the circle, scattering BGM’s six hits over seven innings. She didn’t walk a batter, and struck out eight.
The Bravettes played errorless softball.
Jadyn Sharer was 2×4 at the plate, with a double.
Madison Van Zee also went 2×4, with a run batted in.
Ellen Cook and Laila Kercheval each had one hit, with Kercheval driving in a run.
Chloe Snook stole two bases, and Taya Sincox swiped one.
Lily Kriegel was 2×3 for BGM. Jeryn Kalinay pitched six innings and struck out two.
The victory lifted the Bravettes to 6-13 on the season.
BGM fell to 4-12.
UP NEXT – Montezuma turns around and goes to BGM tonight, Tuesday, June 21, for a rescheduled game, then hosts Colfax-Mingo on Wednesday, June 22.
