Want to know an impressive statistic?
Vivian Cook went 7-for-10 from behind the arc and scored 21 points? Well, that’s a good one for sure . . .but I’m thinking about something else. . .
Montezuma got 14 girls into the game and all contributed? That’s good, too, . . .but.
Here it is: Montezuma assisted 19 of its 21 baskets!!
Doesn’t that just trip your trigger?
It should, because it affirms that the Bravettes are playing unselfish, team basketball.

Vivian Cook’s 21 points led Bravettes scorers. The girls also went inside to Shiressa Wetering for 15 more, which she accomplished on six-for-eight shooting. (And 3 for 4 from the line).
Montezuma had a 33-13 rebound lead on a young Belle Plaine team, with Jadyn Sharer leading the team there with seven of them. Sharer also was tops in that assists category with five.
Montezuma won the turnover battle 9-21, and played good defense pretty much without fouling.
The win lifted Montezuma to 9-2 overall.
Belle Plaine fell to 1-9.
UP NEXT – The Bravettes host English Valleys on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
