
MORAVIA – It was more of that stifling Montezuma defense as the Bravettes rolled to a 55-11 victory on Monday evening, Jan. 29.
The state-rated Bravettes raced off to an 18-0 first quarter lead, then held the Mohawks to single digit scoring in each of the final three quarters.
Moravia managed just .147 field goal shooting.
“We had a very solid performance where we did work n a couple important tweaks for as we go down the stretch,” said Bravettes Coach Janel Burgess.
Vivian Cook drained 5 of 9 three-point shots and led Montezuma with 17 points. Shiressa Wetering had 12, Ellen Cook scored 9 and Claire Erselius had 8.
Sydnee Burgess led Bravettes rebounders with 9.
The Bravettes assisted on 15 of their 19 baskets.

“Our team is locked in and eager to GROW!” Burgess said.
The win lifted the Bravettes to 16-2 as they start the final week of the regular season. Moravia is 3-12.
UP NEXT – Montezuma hosts HLV on Tuesday, Jan. 30, when the program’s four seniors will be recognized.
