VICTOR – Montezuma took five wrestlers to dual meets at HLV, and came pretty close to squeezing out a win in one of the duals.
That was against HLV, where the host team survived the Braves by a 21-18 score.
Montezuma also was competitive with Cardinal, losing 36-24.
Braves 182-pounder Braxton Plants went 3-0 on the night, winning twice by pins in right around a minute, and once by forfeit.
Kennen Roadcap was 3-0 at 220, winning on a 20-second pin, a fall in 3:19, and a forfeit.
