Mariel Bruxvoort was one of 10 Lady Hawkeyes tracksters who had a career best on January 16th at the University of Nebraska, sprinting 400 meters inside the Devaney Center in just 56.47 seconds.
Bruxvoort is in her second year at the University of Iowa, after having spent most of her freshman year recovering from a foot injury. A Michigan native, Mariel is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jim Bruxvoort of Michigan and the granddaughter of Darrell and Sherma Brand of Montezuma.
