KEOSAUQUA – Centerville scored a run in each of the first three innings and made them stand up for a 3-1 win over Montezuma in the Bravettes’ first game in the Van Buren County tournament on Saturday, June 3.
The Bravettes, who plated their run in the fifth inning, were limited to four hits.
Chloe Snook scored that run, had a single and a stolen base.
Madison Van Zee was two-for-three in the game, and Ellen Cook had the other Bravettes hit.
Kallie Robison pitched all seven innings for the Bravettes. She allowed just four hits and one of Centerville’s runs was unearned.
Robison walked one and didn’t strike out a batter.
The Bravettes were guilty of five errors in the game.
The defeat dropped Montezuma to 3-4 on the season.
Centerville moved to 6-8.
