2025 was another great track season that ended with four events at the State Meet, but with several challenges throughout.
This group was motivated to do well in many different events. We learned so much about our girls, and we enjoyed having them grow throughout the season.
The season started with several injuries, but we are blessed with amazing parents and athletes who work to get better, go to appointments, and do not just give up when things are hard.
We have parents who leave work often to support these kids, bring snacks, take pictures, and help with the many other challenges that arise during the season.
There was only one meet all season when we had all of our athletes available to compete. We know that we have some great girls, and we wish they had had a few more opportunities to work all together.
The conclusion of the season is a farewell to two great seniors, Ellen Cook and Hayley Burnett. Both girls have added so much to the team, and we will miss them next season.
We saw the fire in several of the girls, and they are starting to see that they can do great things. They can work with each other, push each other, and hold each other accountable. This is valuable as these young women continue to develop their identities and work to achieve great things in other activities.
We hope they continue to work each day to be better versions of themselves. We want them to understand that we believe in them.
This season, the team was blessed again with the support of Coach Albrecht, who gives so much of herself to make each girl have an amazing experience on the team. She is the solid rock that we balance on, and she is honest, but kind, giving the girls what they need to hear.
Coach VanZante also helped this year, and we were blessed with her enthusiasm and willingness to help with whatever needed to be done. Track does not have paid assistant coaches, so each of these great women volunteers their time to help with the teams, and I know the girls will agree, we are blessed to have these two remarkable women.
Thank you to everyone who supported the team throughout the season. We appreciate you!
