HAPPY NEWLYWED LIONS Jacob (“Jake”) and Alicia Thompson, pictured below, were given surprise royal treatment at the Montezuma Lions Club’s meeting Sept. 14 – just two days after their wedding. Jake volunteered to be the club president this year, in his second year as a member, and Alicia became a member in July. “Together they are bringing new ideas and new energy to the club,” said a club member. In addition to Alicia, Jake has sponsored two other new members this year. Veteran Lions believe having newlyweds is a first for the Montezuma club and this was deserving of a celebration. They say again, “Congratulations, Jake and Alicia!”
