NEW SHARON – Montezuma wrestler Coral Lowry won the 135-pound championship at the first Girls SICL Wrestling Tournament on Monday, Jan. 21, at North Mahaska High School.
Montezuma’s other two contestants had top-three finishes as well.
Taytin Chamberlin was second at 135 pounds and Taya Sincox was third at 135.
There were six SICL teams competing in round robin format.
Colfax-Mingo edged BGM 139-130 for the first SICL girls tourney championship.
UP NEXT – The girls compete in the state meet qualifier at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines.
