CHARITON – Coral Lowry was a tournament champion, as four Montezuma members of the BGM girls wrestling team earned medals for placing in the top six of their weight classes at the Chariton Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 16.
Lowry pinned broth of her opponents – one in just 13 seconds, on her way to the title at 130 pounds.
Tayler Wickham was fourth at 170, Taya Sincox was fifth at 125, and Ryah Thompson was either third or fifth at 190. The tournament’s results sheet did not list the placement. But . . Thompson went 4-1 on the day after dropping her first match.
