Dale Watts of Montezuma recently was presented a certificate for 75 years of continuous membership in the American Legion.
About 60 Legion members and friends gathered on the lawn at Dale’s home to witness the presentation.
Ron Hensel, Post 169 Commander, presided. Montezuma Mayor Jacki Bolen spoke, along with area Legion representatives and State Rep. Dave Maxwell.
Watts, 94, shared personal reflections of his life and his military service and thanked everyone for coming to honor him.
