The Montezuma High School dance team has learned that its performance earned third place in the state hip hop contest. Their average score was just one point behind the first place winner.
In addition, the poms team earned eighth place, and a division 1 rating.
Soloists Coral Lowry and Lily Shoemaker earned division 1 ratings.
The state contest was held Nov. 17 at Wells Fargo Arena, but results were just recently announced.
