SOLON – Montezuma 170-pound wrestler Brian Diaz won his weight class championship at the Solon JV Invitational on Monday, Jan. 20.
Diaz, a junior, is in his first year of wrestling.
Kennen Roadcap, the Braves’ freshman 285-pounder, placed second in his weight class.
Montezuma’s third entrant in the meet, 220-pounder Chance Gillum, was not able to earn a place finish.
