Montezuma senior Dylan Holland has announced her commitment to attend Simpson College in Indianola to continue her education and basketball career.
In the Simpson program, she will join Bravettes senior Elise Boulton, who signed her letter of intent for Simpson earlier.
This season, Holland is averaging 11.0 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game for the Bravettes. Head Coach Janel Burgess said she has advanced her overall skills considerably the last two seasons.
Assistant Coach Kevin Gartman reacted to the news with this statement: “Simpson is getting a great athlete and an even better human being,” he said. “The Storm basketball team and Simpson campus as a whole got better today. Congrats, Dylan!”
Another MHS senior, Cole Watts, will be headed to the Simpson men’s program.
