AMES – Montezuma FFA’s soils judging team placed third in the state and qualified for the national competition in Oklahoma City next spring.
The state event was held Saturday, Oct. 12, at Iowa State University in Ames.
Individually, Alex Cheney placed fifth in the state.
Lauren Klos was eighth, Carmen Klos was 14th and Gavin Tindle placed 16th in the state event.
