FFA students honored at chapter banquet

The FFA banquet was held on April 21st where we honored all FFA members 7th-12th grade.
The 2023 Floriculture team competed in the state contest in July and received a 2nd place
finish. We also recognized our teams who competed at Nationals in the fall of 2023.
Junior High
Ag CSI: These two groups placed 2nd and 4th respectively at the district competition this year.
Team Members: Keegan Gunderson, Gertie Lally, Brylee Latcham, Lily Moyer, and Mallory
Warden. (2nd place)
Team Members: Brielle Haughey, Nolan Hudnut, Jacob Meyer, Tinsley Stowell, and Brooks
Wilson. (4th place)
Ag Impact: The 8th grade group competed at districts and ended up with a 4th place finish.
Team Members: Abbi Henkle, Lauryn Larmore, Olivia Latcham, Sophia Semprini, Marley
Stowell, and Addilynn VerMeer.
The Experience the Action (ETA): This group advanced to state where they received a silver
rating for performing their skit.
Team Members: Ethan Desrochers, Kelsie Mostek, Lexi Rose, Isaiah Wilson, Emma Snook, and
Hayden Sutherland.


High School
Conduct of Meetings: The freshmen participated in Conduct of Meetings where they competed
at sub-districts, districts, and state and brought home a first place finish at the state competition,
qualifying for nationals in the fall.
Team Members: Sydnee Burgess, Vivian Cook, Easton Hudnut, Analeece Kercheval, Rett
Pargeon, Rylee Thompson, Leah Urfer, Gracie Wilson, and Letisia Wilson.
Ag Communications: The sophomores competed in the Ag Communications contest and also
qualified for nationals after receiving first place at state.
Team Members: Brady Boulton, Broox Stockman, Luke Erselius, Claire Erselius, and Peyton
Tindle.
Farm Business Management: The juniors participated in Farm Business Management and
took home first place and will be participating at Nationals in the fall. Bryson Stockman was the
top individual, Ellen Cook placed 6th, and Madison Cheney placed 18th.
Team Members: Ellen Cook, Bryson Stockman, Madison Cheney.
Ag Sales: The seniors competed in Ag Sales and won first place. Camryn Brennan was the top
seller, while Makenna Johannes was the top test score. Camryn Brennan was the overall top
individual and Madison VanZee placed 9th.

Parent Awards
Our Outstanding Mom Award was presented to Janel Burgess.
The Outstanding Dad Award was presented to Jeremy VanZee.
The Outstanding Parents Award was presented to Kyle and Angie Cook.
Blue and Gold Awards
We had 3 Blue and Gold award winners this year. Our winners were Elise Boulton, Michael
DeJong, and Molly Sweson. The award was for the support and help provided to our chapter
and the FFA Organization.
